FESTIVE WINDOW DRESSING
I love dressing up my windows for the holidays, and prefer adding to my existing decor, instead of taking it away and replacing it with something else. On my window sill, I have shells that I've collected on the beaches in Rhode Island and LBI housed in glass milk bottles and a starfish leaning against the window.

I added flameless tea lights around the bottles (not trying to catch anything on fire or deal with dripping wax — and they don't look as cheesy in person, trust me). I placed pieces of faux wreath next to them for a little touch of greenery, but generally I use really pine branches from outside. The small touches of green really bring the outside in and compliment the starfish and shells.

Hanging on my window is a square faux boxwood wreath from Homegoods, that I tied a white ribbon around and hung on a Command hook (which is hidden by the ribbon and not permanent, which I prefer). Little touches of holiday whimsy here and there in the most unexpected places add just enough holiday wonder that can even be kept up year round.
