The Bergen County Bible
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Born and raised in Bergen County, Heather has been the Fashion Editor and stylist for the community for 13 years. She is obsessed with her dog Rocco and is extremely close with her family. You can always catch Heather rocking a pair of oversized sunnies, with stacks of jewelry on her wrists, including hamsas, evil eyes, and personalized pieces. A big fan of black, white, and gray, for clothing and home decor, she mixes and matches styles and price points in every single outfit she wears and styles. She loves small boutiques in many of our beloved Bergen towns, and can easily navigate any of the malls in our county. She has a collection of nail polishes that would make any salon proud, has an obsession with jackets and fur vests, and believes that beauty comes from within.
Heather strives to help others feel confident and stylish. She is a fashion veteran and celebrity interviewer who has talked style and dressed some of the biggest names in the industry including: Tim Gunn, Terron Schaefer, Stacy London, Catherine Malandrino, Stuart Weitzman, Mary J. Blige, Odell Beckham Jr., Lil Kim, Rachel Roy, Ken Downing, Yansi Fugel, Marc Bouwer, David Meister, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, Ivanka Trump, Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy, Eli Manning, Carl Banks, Derek Jeter, Curtis Grandson, Mark Teixeira, Robinson Cano, CC and Amber Sabathia, Justin Tuck, Jeff Feagles, Tate Donovan, Daphne Oz, Johnny Damon, Emme, Kristine Johnson, Chris Wragge, Martha MacCallum, Tracy Wolfson, Lori Stokes, Geraldo and Erica Rivera, Bethenny Frankel, Giuliana Rancic, Elizabeth Gilbert, the RHONJ, Jay Huguley, Malaak Compton-Rock, Ilya Kovalchuk, Leslie Greene, Guy Bedrarida, and many more.
Although Heather loves the hustle and bustle that comes along with a fashionable lifestyle, she looks forward to the day when she's living on a farm with Rocco and a bunch of goats.

Yoga & Mindfulness Writer
Maritza is a wife, mom of three young children, an entrepreneur, vegan, and living her passion and life’s purpose. She discovered her love for yoga in the early 2000's and it has been her way of life ever since. A veteran group fitness instructor, personal trainer, healthy lifestyle coach, and luxury residential health club manager, Maritza has 30 years of experience in various aspects of the fitness and wellness industry. Her desire to help others is apparent in her ability to inspire and motivate individuals, whether it's through weight loss or through life experiences by taking a simple, effective and fun approach. She is the founder and creator of Liyalifeco.com and LiYa Method Yoga, a fitness infused yoga method, created to attract high-performance lovers (like herself) and teach them the benefits of balancing body, mind and spirit.
The beach is her favorite playground, and her biggest obsessions are coconut milk matcha lattes, green smoothies, all fashion magazines, mascara, and vintage jewelry. When she’s not yoga-ing, Maritza loves spending time with her family and is always open to some quality time with her girlfriends.
Mariel Alvarado is the co-founder of Lady Savant Society, a client acquisition business coach, boy-mom of two, and a total poss-abili-tarian. The Cliffside Park resident helps experts and creative service providers own their brilliance and make six figures by teaching them a powerful yet soulful, stress-free method to acquiring premium clients in just 90 days. Mariel believes every entrepreneur has the potential to build a lucrative business they really, really love. The problem is that sometimes their messaging and marketing is “off”, their offers need to be revamped, and they rarely have a client acquisition system. That’s why Mariel and her business partner, Brandyn Randolph, have created a boutique business incubator where their clients get high level, one-on-one attention so they can close all the gaps in their business and finally start bringing in new, high-end clients they love. She loves meditation, fashion, wine and red velvet cupcakes.
Angela is Bergen County transplant who, after being born and raised in Hoboken until her twenties, made northern Bergen County her home. Angela started writing her digital manifesto, 'The Thirty Something,' after finding herself in her thirties, very lost, with major growing pains, and adult meltdowns attached. She repeatedly thought, "there has to be more people out there who feel like me." Angela's goal is to connect with others through transparently sharing her own trials, tribulations and life experiences, while inspiring others to be courageous and celebrate their victories both big and small.
As a wellness enthusiast, in her spare time, you can find her at the gym before heading to work, sporting one of her many pairs of black leggings (she admittedly has an addiction!), applying her elaborate skincare routine, walking her dog at the Ridgewood Duck Pond, training for her next marathon (running is at the top of her list of passions), or concocting her next smoothie recipe. But she won't be skipping those french fries anytime soon!
Angela's adage: Create a life that feels good on the inside, not one that just looks good on the outside.
