MY FAVORITE DRUG STORE MASCARAS

Who doesn’t love a good beauty buy? Below, I reviewed my favorite drug store mascaras that I keep coming back to. I applied two coats of each product to my lashes. For added drama, brush your lashes up and out with a spoolie brush and use a lash curler prior to applying product.

 

Fact:

Did you know that the shelf life of mascara is three months, or less? If you notice the formula getting clumpy and/or dried out, it's time to throw it out! The short shelf life is just one of the reasons why I prefer to spend $10 or less. The results speak for themselves.

Also, keep in mind, the amount of times the wand is taken out of the tube, applied to the eye, then put back into the tube, and all the bacteria it has collected along the way. So really make sure to switch your mascara every couple of months to be safe.

My all time favorite!  I have been using this mascara for as long as I can remember. I always come back to this product because I know it delivers! I love the “blackest black” color and the “lash building” brush allows you to control the amount of drama — the more coats you apply, the more volume and length you will get. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Spider Effect $6.99

 

Drama, drama, drama. The perfect mascara for date night or any special event. Makes lashes super thick and slightly clumpy, which I think looks so pretty for a night out! If you desire the full on “tarantula” look — apply the wand at the base of the lashes and wiggle the wand back and forth to the tip. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Neutrogena Healthy Volume $8.99

 

This is my go-to for days when I am just running errands and desire a more natural look. It is a volumizing mascara that has a larger brush head compared to other mascaras. Lashes stay super soft possibly because olive oil is one of its ingredients.
