NAKED TURKEY BURGERS

Here's a healthier alternative to burgers without sacrificing the flavor. Best part? They're quick and easy to make, AND the kids will love them too!

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 packages of turkey chopped meat

  • Spray oil for your pan or griddle

  • Se salt & pepper

  • 1 lemon

  • Extra articles to dress your turkey burger if naked isn't your thing

    • 1 Thinly sliced yellow onion

    • 1 Thinly sliced medium green pepper

Step 1:

Shape and mold your chopped meat into 4-6 patties.

Step 2

Start with a warm (medium flame) griddle or skillet. Spray pan.

Step 3:

Now it is time to increase the heat to medium-high flame. Once you see the wisps of smoke, it's go time for your turkey burgers.

Step 4

Cook the burgers on one side for 3 to 5 minutes (cook until there is no evidence of pink anywhere), sprinkle the tops generously with salt and pepper, flip and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes and season with salt and pepper again.

*You should see a dark brown sear on the underside. If there isn't, just increase your heat.

If you don't like being naked...

-In a separate pan add 1 Tbsp of coconut oil.

-Add sliced peppers and onions to your melted oil.

-Season with sea salt & freshly ground pepper.

-Mix all together until the onions start to brown (3-5 minutes).

Now you can dress your turkey burgers with this onion-pepper mixture and serve over a bed of string beans. Squeeze lemon on top and enjoy! No guilt here!
